Chenab College Jhang

Jhang in local dialect means grove of trees. Jhang was invaded Alexander the Great on his way back to Macedonia in the 4th century BC. The city of Jhang was founded by Mal Khan Sial in 1462 AD. Sial tribe ruled this city for 360 years.Last ruler of the Tribe was Ahmad Khan (1812 to 1822) before the Sikhs took over. From the Sikhs,Jhang was taken over by the British. The District was established in 1849.
